Crunch splints

Splint therapy
Grinding splints are custom-made, transparent plastic splints that are mainly worn at night. They protect the teeth from excessive abrasion caused by night-time teeth grinding (bruxism) or clenching, relieve the chewing muscles and jaw joints and thus reduce complaints such as headaches, tension or CMD symptoms. The splint harmonizes the bite position and prevents further damage to teeth, fillings and implants. We would be happy to discuss in a consultation whether a grinding splint makes sense for you and how it should be fitted.

Did you know that...?

... untreated night-time teeth grinding (bruxism) endangers not only your natural teeth, but also veneers, crowns, bridges and implants due to heavy abrasion, cracks or overloading? A customized grinding splint that you wear at night effectively protects all restorations and significantly extends their durability. We would be happy to discuss in an appointment whether such a splint makes sense for you.

Sports protection splints

Sports splints are custom-made mouthguards that protect the teeth, tongue, gums and jaw during various sports where dental trauma is possible. They cushion impacts, minimize the risk of tooth fractures, tooth loss and soft tissue injuries and offer significantly better support and comfort than standard models. We would be happy to discuss in an appointment whether a customized splint makes sense for your sport.
